Seshadripuram Educational Trust (SET) was set up as a public charitable Trust in 1980. Seshadripuram Educational Association (which is the parent body of SET) was registered in the year 1944.
The Seshadripuram Group of Institutions was founded originally in 1930 by two lady educational enthusiasts of Seshadripuram, Smt. Anandamma and Smt. Seethamma. These enterprising ladies started a primary school with about 20 children. The institution has grown from strength to strength and today is home to over 20,000 students each year from across the country. Astonishingly, the two Mangalore-tiled rooms that housed the first primary school is still part of the present main campus!
SET runs a cluster of 26 educational establishments from kinder garden to postgraduate courses. The institution has about 1000 employees including supporting and part time staff.
